Pearl and I are starting to feel that our personal gas tanks are getting a little low, yet the empty tanks are worth it when you can look back and know that you have traveled over some beautiful country side.
Our travels this past week included the normal rush of school, work and life but also the added joy of teaching at another retreat.
This retreat was for a group of college/young adults from a church out near Philly. The guy in charge of leading this group has become a dear friend and a couple of months ago invited me to speak into his group.
Here's some pictures of what this great weekend held...
Lots and lots of amazing food!
This is Doug, the guy in charge.
He's amazing leader. He's heart is tender and open, he loves people exceptionally well, and the evidence of his leadership and heart was seen this weekend by the vulnerability and honesty that was shown by those in the room.
(Plus he makes some killer sausage gravy!)
We had sweet moments of reflection...
... time as a group...
"Ticket to ride" was a must play board game for Pearl and I
The Cabin we stead in was amazing, but no shoes on the carpet
During a tromp in the woods I discovered a horse
Had some time alone to my thoughts and camera,
the lighting here made be feel strangely "covered"
But we came home to a little snow...
